In Zaporizhzhia, it is planned to create a transit hub for migrants from the Kherson region, who enter the city through Vasylivka. Kherson deputy mayor informed about this Roman Holovnia.

The official noted that today the city of Zaporizhia is already full of forcibly displaced persons. The city has already received about 150,000 people.

“Therefore, we must ensure a transit stay for the people of Kherson in Zaporizhzhia – for a few days. And then they have to move around Ukraine. To the places that we will determine, or if they have somewhere to go,” the official said.

According to Golovna, a hostel has been allocated as a transit hub for migrants. Currently, there is an opportunity to accommodate 300 people, but the number of places is planned to be expanded to 400.

As you know, in Vasylivka in Zaporizhzhia, the queue to leave the occupied territory, because the Russians allow from 20 to 150 cars a day (about 500 people), when the demand for leaving is much higher. Representatives of the Ukrainian authorities appealed to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation with a request to organize an evacuation corridor. But the Rashists say that there are no people willing to go to the territory controlled by Ukraine.

Let us remind you that earlier the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – the Minister of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk said that on the eve of the heating season a new wave of internally displaced persons from eastern to western regions is predicted.

Vereshchuk also stated that almost 800,000 internally displaced persons  html” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>will need housing.

Earlier it was also reported that in Ukraine almost  862950.html” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>250,000 internally displaced persons did not receive the promised cash payments.  One of the reasons is that “Diya” did not transfer relevant data to social security agencies. p>

We note that displaced persons within the country will be able to change the address of their actual place of residence and register for state aid payments in the “Diya” application.
